Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is the use of pure aromatic plant essential oils in the treatment of illness.  Essential oils contain hormones, antibiotics, pheromones, and cell regenerating agents that help to nourish, energise and protect the living plant.  These properties strengthen the plants immunity to disease, by extracting these valuable essential oils from plants we too can harness their healing qualities and apply them to our own human bodies.

Essential oils work in two ways: physically through penetration to human tissue into the bloodstream when applied dermally to the body and psychologically via the effect of one’s sense of smell on the ol’factory system, introduced by way of vaporisation or direct inhalation.

Aromatherapy is unique in offering a necessary and healthy link with the riches of the natural world around us.  Essential oils are one of the great untapped resources of the world.  Here we have a system of natural help that is far more than a system of medicine, that can help to prevent illness and alleviate symptoms.  By taking essential oils into our lives we find a way to provide our family and home with the protection and pleasure they need without polluting ourselves or our environment with chemicals.

These days the medicines and household we eat and the air we breathe contains more chemicals than we know.  The cumulative effect of these is not good for our bodies and results in a chemical overload within the body.  We can use nature’s essential oils to offset this chemical load by making perfumes, household sprays, and cleaning products as a healthier, life-giving an alternative.
