Hummus Recipe

Hummus is the ultimate dip to have on hand! Versatile to include in hundreds of recipes. Kids love it, picnics love it, families love it. A great way to get healthy fibre into your diet and add spices to promote digestion also!

INGREDIENTS

  • 200g dried chick peas (soaked overnight, rinsed, drained)  or boil in water for 50 minutes until soft
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • pinch salt
  • smoky paprika, olive oil, parsley, cumin or coriander to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  • blend ingredients
  • use as a dip for crackers, vegetable sticks, on toast or make pesto pasta!
