Mulled Wine is on my must-have holiday cocktail recipe list or a winter time treat! I was first introduced to this festive drink at a Christmas market in Germany, and it’s a recipe I look forward to making every year.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 6 whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 star anise
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup brandy
METHOD
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer not a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer gently over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve warm and garnish with more citrus slices and cinnamon sticks.
