A great alternative to coffee to give you the warm hit many of us crave in the morning. A spicy and delicious beverage helps to kick start digestion while providing anti-inflammatory effects to your diet. If you make excess, put it in the fridge and drink it cold, use it in a smoothie or flavour cakes, biscuits or sweets with it also!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups nut or oat milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 tsp of ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
- ground black pepper
- honey or maple syrup to sweeten
DIRECTIONS
- put all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk constantly over a gentle heat, ideally with a milk frother if you have one. Once hot, pour into mugs and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon to serve.
